Kristan Alick George Proudman was born in the township of Elizabeth Vale, South Australia. After pursuing a career in Information Technology and earning a Diploma of Business at the Cairns Business College, he took time to learn and eventually teach scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

Kristan acquired a Bachelors Degree in Education at James Cook University, where he discovered the enchantment of the written word. After graduating from JCU he began teaching in a number of primary schools in Australia. He movedto the United States to teach computer science at a preparatory school in Massachusetts, where he wrote his first novel, “Sorcerers of War“. Kristan travels extensively and uses inspiration found from his journeys to continue to write.
