  Sometimes, you encounter the strangest people in public toilets. Take 19 March, for example: Just after my interview with a large corporation, I visited the ladies in a district twenty minutes' travel away. As I was queuing, a lady walked in and skipped to the front of the queue, to stand in front of me. I asked her to join the end. Her response: "I'm looking for the ten-dollar note I dropped in the toilet." Total skepticism followed, rippling down the line. Then the middle cubicle of the three was vacated and this lady skipped in. I followed close enough to intimidate if necessary. She bent down and fished her ten-dollar note out of the bin next to the toilet bowl. Departing mutter: "My ten-dollar bill!"
